    Deepali Gupta is currently working as a doctoral research fellow in the Department of Geography at Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, Srinagar, Uttarakhand. She is working on the need for spring shed management in the Himalayan region.

    Deepali holds an undergraduate degree in Geography from the University of Delhi where she has conducted various extensive researches across western Himalayas belt which have latter been added to undergraduate textbooks adopted by University of Delhi.

    She was the topper during her Master’s Degree at HNBGU where she conducted a detailed study of the impact of Valmiki Tiger Reserve on livelihood security of the local community.
