Dr. Shivani Verma, founder of startup Ingenious Research Solutions Pvt Ltd., has achieved a notable milestone with the development of "Divya Drishti," an advanced AI tool. This innovation integrates facial recognition with physiological parameters like gait and skeleton, promising a groundbreaking advancement in biometric authentication technology.

The achievement follows the startup's success in winning the prestigious Dare to Dream Innovation contest 2.0, organised by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).

"Divya Drishti" provides a strong authentication system by integrating facial recognition with gait analysis, ensuring increased accuracy and reliability in identifying individuals. This two-pronged method reduces the likelihood of false positives and identity fraud, making it suitable for various applications in Defence, Law Enforcement, Corporate, and Public Infrastructure sectors.

The development of "Divya Drishti" received support and guidance from the Centre for Artificial Intelligence & Robotics (CAIR), a DRDO laboratory located in Bangalore. Dr. Samir V Kamat, Secretary of the Department of Defence R&D and Chairman of DRDO, extended congratulations to Ingenious Research Solutions Pvt Ltd. and the DRDO team for their accomplishment.

He highlighted that the project's success, facilitated under the Technology Development Fund (TDF), reflects DRDO's dedication to nurturing startups in the defence and aerospace sectors, aligning with the vision of 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat'.

This innovative AI tool not only demonstrates India's prowess in biometric security solutions but also underscores the collaborative efforts between startups and government institutions. These efforts aim to foster innovation and self-reliance in critical sectors, exemplifying a synergy between technological advancement and strategic national goals.
