Manoj Kumar filed a ₹100 crore defamation lawsuit against Shah Rukh Khan over a scene in the film Om Shanti Om. Yes, the 2007 film Om Shanti Om, directed by Farah Khan, turned out to be a superhit at the box office. However, in one of the scenes, Shah Rukh Khan's character Om Prakash Makhija mimicked actor Manoj Kumar and made fun of him, which deeply offended Manoj Kumar. Although Shah Rukh Khan publicly apologised for it and even called Manoj Kumar personally to settle the matter, bringing it to a close at that time, the issue resurfaced in 2013. When Om Shanti Om was re-released in Japan that year, the scene mocking Manoj Kumar was not removed from the film. This led Manoj Kumar to file another defamation case—this time for ₹100 crore—against Shah Rukh Khan and the film's production company. 

मनोज कुमार ने ओम शांति ओम फ़िल्म के एक सीन को लेकर शाहरुख खान के ऊपर सौ करोड़ रुपए के मानहानि का मुकदमा दायर किया था। जी हां वर्ष 2007 में आई फराह खान के द्वारा निर्देशित फिल्म ओम शांति ओम बॉक्स ऑफिस पर तो सुपरहिट साबित हुई लेकिन इस फ़िल्म में दिखाए गए एक सीन में शाहरुख खान के कैरेक्टर ओम प्रकाश मखीजा ने अभिनेता मनोज कुमार की मिमिक्री करके उनका मजाक बनाया था जिससे मनोज कुमार काफी ज़्यादा नाराज़ हो गए थे। हालांकि इसे लेकर शाहरुख खान ने भी पब्लिकली उनसे माफी मांगी थी और उन्होंने मनोज कुमार को पर्सनली फ़ोन करके सुलह भी कर ली थी। ये मामला यहां तो खत्म हो गया था लेकिन वर्ष 2013 में जब ओम शांति ओम फ़िल्म को एक बार फिर जापान में रिलीज़ किया गया था उस वक़्त भी इस फ़िल्म में से मनोज कुमार के मिमिक्री वाले सीन को नहीं हटाया गया था और इस बार मनोज कुमार ने शाहरुख खान समेत फ़िल्म प्रोडक्शन कंपनी पर 100 करोड़ रुपए का डीफेमशन का केस फाइल किया था।
