Why did the Delhi High Court Scold Baba Ramdev?

After a stern warning from the Delhi High Court, Baba Ramdev has agreed to remove controversial video clips made about Hamdard company's popular drink, Rooh Afza, following the threat of a potential "Contempt of Court" case. In a newly released video, Ramdev claimed that the profits earned by Hamdard were being used to build “madrassas and mosques,” and added that while Hamdard’s trust lies in Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, Patanjali’s trust lies in Bhagwan Ram. Notably, this isn’t the first time the court has intervened—last week, when Ramdev allegedly referred to Rooh Afza as “Sharbat Jihad,” he had agreed to take down the videos immediately. With this, the court has now pulled up Baba Ramdev for the second time, cautioning him against making provocative statements about rival brand Hamdard.

दिल्ली हाईकोर्ट की कड़ी चेतावनी के बाद रामदेव ने हमदर्द कंपनी के पॉपुलर ब्रांड रूह अफ़ज़ा को लेकर बनाए गए विवादित वीडियो क्लिप्स हटाने पर सहमति जताई है। यह जानकारी उन्होंने "Contempt of Court" के संभावित मामले का सामना करने के बाद दी। बता दें कि बाबा रामदेव ने अपने एक नए वीडियो में रूह अफज़ा को लेकर कुछ विवादित बयान दे दिया है। इस वीडियो में उन्होंने दावा किया कि हमदर्द द्वारा अर्जित मुनाफे का इस्तेमाल "मदरसों और मस्जिदों" को बनाने के लिए किया जा रहा है, जबकि उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि हमदर्द का विश्वास मुग़ल के औरंगज़ेब में है, जबकि पतंजलि का विश्वास भगवान राम में है। जबकि पिछले सप्ताह भी जब कोर्ट ने हमदर्द की लोकप्रिय ड्रिंक रूह अफ़ज़ा को लेकर "शरबत जिहाद" जैसे कथित बयान पर बाबा रामदेव को फटकार लगाई थी, उस वक्त भी योग गुरु ने तुरंत सभी संबंधित वीडियो हटाने पर सहमति जताई थी। कुल मिलाकर बाबा रामदेव को कोर्ट ने दूसरी बार फटकार लगाई है कि वो अपने प्रतिद्वंदी कंपनी हमदर्द के खिलाफ ऐसे उल्टे सीधे बयानबाज़ी न करें।
