Donald Trump advised Tim Cook not to set up an Apple factory in India

Former US President Donald Trump said that he asked Apple CEO Tim Cook not to increase production in India. According to a Bloomberg report, the conversation took place during a business event in Doha, Qatar. Trump said, "We are not interested in your setting up factories in India. India can take care of itself and it is doing it very well." He claimed that Apple will now increase manufacturing in the US. However, he did not say anything clear on Apple's plans in India. It is clear from Trump's statement that India is being seen as a self-sufficient and capable country.
