Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has won major investment commitments worth ₹6,650 crore during the opening day of his official visit to Singapore. These deals were signed with investors for big projects that will help the state grow its cities and industries and create many new jobs.
The agreements were signed on Monday, the first day of the Chief Minister’s trip abroad. The investments are meant for group housing, a logistics park, and a hyperscale data centre park. Officials said these projects will provide good opportunities for businesses, boost development, and generate employment in several regions of Uttar Pradesh.
The total of ₹6,650 crore comes from three Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) that were signed between the Uttar Pradesh government and Universal Success Group, a Singapore-linked business group that will bring in the investments. Here’s how the money will be used:
1. International Theme-based Township near Jewar Airport
One of the MoUs is for creating a large township near the Jewar International Airport under the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority.
- This project covers an area of 100 acres.
- The investment for this township is ₹3,500 crore.
- It will be an international theme-based township — meaning a planned residential and commercial area with modern designs and infrastructure.
- Officials expect this township to generate about 12,000 jobs in and around the area.
- The launch of this project is targeted for 2027.
This investment is expected to strengthen the overall urban growth around the new Jewar airport, which is becoming an important transportation hub in the state.
2. Logistics Park on Kanpur-Lucknow Highway
The second deal focuses on building a logistics park, which will help improve transport, warehousing, and trade.
- This project will be built on 50 acres of land alongside the Kanpur-Lucknow Highway.
- The investment for this logistics park is ₹650 crore.
- Officials said the park will create approximately 7,500 jobs when it becomes fully operational.
- This project is also planned to start in 2027.
Such a facility is expected to play a key role in moving goods across the state and linking Uttar Pradesh well with markets across India and abroad, strengthening industrial activity.
3. Hyperscale Data Centre Park in Noida/Greater Noida
The third major agreement is for a hyperscale data centre park, which will support data storage, cloud services, and digital industries.
- This centre will have a capacity of 40 MW (megawatts) to power digital infrastructure.
- It will be built on 10 acres of land in the Noida/Greater Noida region.
- The planned investment is ₹2,500 crore.
- Officials said this centre could create around 1,500 jobs.
- The target year for starting this project is 2028.
Officials said building such data centre hubs will place Uttar Pradesh among the leading states in India for digital infrastructure and services.
During the meetings in Singapore, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also spoke about other important aspects of inviting investment into Uttar Pradesh. He highlighted the state’s policy stability, improving connectivity, and the fast-growing industrial ecosystem as reasons why investors should consider Uttar Pradesh.
He personally invited the investors to visit Lucknow to look at land and opportunities for setting up even more facilities, especially data centre projects. The government assured companies of full support at every level so that these projects can move forward without delays.
Officials described these agreements as a big step forward for the state’s economy, helping with both urban development and job creation on a large scale.
