A domestic airline based in Uttar Pradesh; Shankh Air is preparing to make a significant impact at the soon-to-be-opened Noida International Airport.
Sharvan Kumar Vishwakarma, the chairman of Shankh Air, along with its co-founders and management team, recently held discussions with Christoph Schnellmann, the CEO of the airport, and Kiran Jain, the COO, to finalize the agreement of establishing Noida Airport as the airline's primary hub.
Their strategy involves positioning a minimum of three of their intended Boeing 737-800NG aircraft at Noida, demonstrating a firm dedication to enhancing the aviation scene in the area. Additionally, Shankh Air has shown enthusiasm for initiating flights to diverse destinations and investigating fresh city connections.
Located near the emerging YEIDA city in Uttar Pradesh, Noida International Airport is poised to become India's latest international airport, constructed by Zurich Airport International.
Intended to improve connectivity within the Delhi NCR region, its objective is to cater to the population of Greater Noida, Noida, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, South Gurgaon, Agra, and surrounding locales.
After it becomes operational, using DXN as its IATA code, Noida International Airport seeks to compete with major aviation centres worldwide such as those in New York, London, and Tokyo, offering smooth and convenient travel experiences.
Shankh Air is presently in the process of obtaining the necessary no-objection certification from the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation. Positioned as a full-service carrier, it prioritises safety, sustainability, and reliability.
The airline is eager to work closely with Noida International Airport to provide seamless connections to numerous destinations throughout the country.
