India has increased pressure on Pakistan, and in response, Pakistan is getting help from Turkey and China. Earlier, Turkey's C-130 military transport planes stopped in Pakistan, and China also sent missiles to the Islamic Republic. Now, Turkey's naval ship, TCG BUYUKADA, has arrived in Pakistan. Pakistan has described this as a 'Goodwill Visit', suggesting that the visit wasn't planned and happened during rising tensions with India.
"Turkish Navy Ship TCG BÜYÜKADA arrived at Khi Port on a goodwill visit. Ship was welcomed by officials of Turkish & Pak Navies. Crew of TCG BÜYÜKADA will engage in professional interactions with PN personnel. Visit aims to enhance understanding & strengthen coop between 2 navies," said the Pakistani Navy. "Goodwill visit of TCG BÜYÜKADA stands as a testament to the ever-strengthening maritime collaboration between Pakistan & Türkiye. It reflects deep-rooted mutual trust & strategic partnership between two brotherly nations, anchored in centuries-old historical & cultural ties," it added. The Indian Navy has a clear advantage over the Pakistani Navy, as India possesses two aircraft carriers, while Pakistan has none. This significant difference strengthens India's position in naval power.
Meanwhile, amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan following the Pahalgam terror attack, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is scheduled to visit Pakistan on Monday. It is anticipated that Araghchi might also visit India later in the week, although he is expected to return to Tehran after his visit to Pakistan. After the attack, Iran initially offered to help mediate between India and Pakistan in an attempt to ease the situation, but India quickly declined, asserting that it could handle the issue on its own. Pakistani media reports indicate that Araghchi will be accompanied by a senior delegation and is expected to have an important meeting with Pakistan's Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. The talks are set to cover the state of Pakistan-Iran relations and discuss the regional situation, especially in light of the recent tensions between India and Pakistan.
Tensions between India and Pakistan have escalated after the terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22, where 26 people were killed by terrorists backed by Pakistan. In response, both nations have downgraded their diplomatic relations, stopped trade and suspended all forms of communication.
