An ecosystem is a network of interconnected “assets” formed with the primary aim to forward specialized political/business agendas. Its constituents may not be connected or know each other but since the overarching handling is central, they work in perfect coordination to effect a specific outcome. Corporates, business & media houses, charities, religious entities, NGOs, politicians, social activists, journalists, judges, actors, sports stars, lawyers, academicians, etc. can all be a part of ecosystems. So pervasive are these ecosystems that it would not be incorrect to say that today’s world is not ruled by Governments, it is ruled by ecosystems.
The left-liberal ecosystem is the foremost and most entrenched in the world. It perpetuates both the first-world hegemony and the leftist-social-liberal agenda, with a “woke” variant becoming popular lately. The second most powerful is the Muslim ecosystem which draws its inspiration from Muslim Ummah, Oil Business, etc. Muslim ecosystem often aligns with the Left-Liberal ecosystems when mutual benefits are to be obtained. Then comes the Chinese, Russian, etc. This piece will be unable to do justice to the myriad ways in which ecosystems exist and operate, suffice it to say, that it’s a complex network of symbiotic mutualisms.
An ecosystem furthers the objectives of the cabal that it represents, which may sometimes also be aligned with the objectives of the country or nations where members of the cabal have significant interests. Generally, this furthering of interest comes at the expense of others with whom the cabal may differ on ideological, religious, racial, political, and economic lines. As everything boils down to economics, ecosystems aim to make/protect money or propagate/protect dominance.
Take, for example, the current Russia-Ukraine or the US-Taiwan-China conflict and the media reporting it gets. Russian forces are painted as aggressors and China as an expansionist. But the reality is more nuanced. India too has been drawing flak although it has no role in either. The real conflict is about the undermining of the US Dollar’s supremacy.
Russia, China, India, and a bunch of other countries are increasingly challenging the reserve currency status of the US Dollar. That means trouble for the western world. The USA’s debt is $31 trillion while India's is $ 620.7 billion. But the US can simply “print” more money and get over its debt, while India will have to “earn” that amount. This is currency-based hegemony. Now if nations stopped accepting this system who will suffer the most? Without the reserve currency status of the US Dollar, the USA will be bankrupt. But, not just it, the EU and many democracies will sink too. Hence the Ukraine war and the Taiwan conflict to keep Russia and China in check. The general masses may not be aware of the ulterior reason because of the dominant anti-Russia and anti-China narrative manufactured by the ecosystem.
Kyoto was on the list of cities to be atom bombed. However, the strategist planning the mission had visited Kyoto and was struck by its culture. It was removed from the list. Kyoto’s soft power saved it. That is the power of a narrative, an ideology, and why controlling them in the age of ubiquitous information is the primary objective of any organization, society, race, or country.
Ecosystems protect interests, strategic people, institutions, etc., by building a story or effecting retaliation when such assets are threatened. Money, power, and arms by themselves cannot cause a revolt. For revolt, people are needed. And for people to burn buses, pelt stones, block roads, and file frivolous lawsuits, they need to be controlled, their minds captured for which an Ideology is needed. Ecosystems peddle ideologies and shape such narratives.
As American dominance wanes, Europe lurches towards total ruin, Russia resurges, China & India challenge the status quo, the Arab world fractures, and the African nations unite, the political landscape is changing rapidly. On the other hand, perpetual economic crises, frequent recessions, human tragedies due to governmental mismanagement, and capitalistic malpractices have made people angry and vary. This is having a profound effect on world dynamics. The ubiquitous smartphone is channeling more information to the masses, leading to a better knowledge of local and global affairs. Nationalistic passions rise across the world, and country after country is electing strong nationalistic regimes. Thus, the left-liberal-woke cabal is increasingly threatened as the established world order gets challenged.
Nationalistic/Conservative right-wing is to Left-Liberal-Woke Ideology, what a Mongoose is to a snake. This natural enmity coupled with the erosion of established orders compels both sides (left more than right) to attempt to control the narrative. And these trench battles happen mostly on social media where voices are free and unhindered. Mainstream media was always heavily influenced by left liberals. Therefore, it was often far more critical of right-leaning ideologies than the left. Thus, the global propaganda and narrative were easy to manage. However, online speech changed all that.
The Arab spring was perhaps the inflection point that spooked the cabal. Thereafter, billions have been spent on nurturing, cultivating, activating/deactivating ecosystems of government bodies, think tanks, media houses, NGOs, and “blue-tick” personalities to suppress, deride, shadow-ban online free speech that even attempts to question or debunks theories that the cabal holds dear. The cabal owns more media outlets than right-wing but the latter still fights a spirited uphill battle mostly via social media against a more well-equipped and entrenched adversary.
Social media platforms are key to narrative building and shaping public discourses by democratizing information, allowing people to form opinions faster and consequently act/react faster. The modus operandi of narrative manufacturing is fairly simple.
Think tanks and deep-state agents prepare a toolkit which is then passed to the assets of the ecosystem. Eminent well-established “blue-ticks” either deride, question, or bemoan the state of affairs. They reminisce about the good old days, find faults in initiatives, question strategies being implemented, etc. If the objective is big then more blue ticks are ordered to collaborate. If one pays attention and one how people from different segments & sections of society, different walks of life, and different parts of the world talk about the same thing almost in an identical language. For example, Mia Khalifa, a popular porn star, somehow had an acute understanding of the MSP problems faced by farmers in the Indian state of Punjab. Martina Navratilova was so acutely pained by the agony of people agitating against the CAA as if her citizenship was threatened. That’s the ecosystem in action.
With time, more voices are added to the lamentation/outrage. BOTs and Ghost accounts are utilized to amplify the message to an industrial level. By the time it reaches the masses, the narrative has achieved a deafening crescendo. The crowd who are possessed by it, descend onto the streets to fight pitched battles. They make pizzas at Singhu border and cook biryani at Shaheen Bagh. They copy-paste onto other social media platforms as the disinformation goes viral. When the authorities retaliate or members of the ecosystems are nabbed, other assets begin croaking likes frogs on a monsoon night. Lawyers with astronomical hourly rates petition the courts free of cost and Judges wake up in the middle of the night to hear their pleas. Talk shows and conferences are organized where disjointed facts are surreptitiously slipped into the discourse to muddle the matter further. This too is the ecosystem working in the background.
The most spectacular battle between left and right ideologies is on Twitter. The simplicity of the platform; the constraint of being terse and yet being able to communicate ideas; the ability to have followers allowing rapid propagation of ideas and call-to-actions make it a preferred medium. So, as one of the foremost vehicles for propagating and shaping narratives, drowning contrarian views, the utility & power of Twitter was not lost to the Mandarins of global cabals, oligarchs that dream of world domination, and nations that seek to continue their stranglehold over others. But, for all that, Twitter needed to be controlled. The bird needed to be taught what to tweet if not caged completely.
Ecosystems are built using money. And money comes from corporates. The left-liberal-woke ideology is heavily entrenched in the corporate and media world where liberalism and wokeness are worn as a badge. These are tom-tom-ed to remain “in”. Everything else is generally derided for being antiquated, boorish, or regressive. This FOMO is what swells the ranks of the global left-liberal system. And this culture flourished on Twitter supported by people within Twitter. It had been modified at the level of its DNA. The cabal utilized this predilection to build an ecosystem that could muzzle contrarian views.
But Achilles has a heel.
The left-liberal-woke ideology is not easy to defend. And when defending it, it is a very slippery slope. The veneer is thin and just a wee bit of incisive analysis exposes the holes in the narrative. Critical fact-checking and repudiation by experts exposed the lies often peddled by the cabal. As a result, the stifling of speech became harsher and disproportionate.
The sins of Twitter increased. It refused to remove child pornography content even when requested. It incorrectly labeled any tweets that were calling out the bluffs and lies of left-liberal handles. It decreased the visibility of handles that were critical of the cabal or provided alternative truths. The Hunter Biden story was allegedly buried because it could have hurt Joe Biden’s prospects. But Donald Trump was banned.
In India, Kangana Ranaut and Arnab Goswami were banned, as both were critical of the left-liberal-woke politico-social cabal in the country. Yet, celebrities and fact-checkers that spread disinformation, hatred, and discontent were not censured because it suited the narrative of that very politico-social cabal.
Strangely, while no apparent value could be demonstrated, Twitter’s reach and utility as a propaganda propagation medium ensured that it remained profitable.
Liberals, leftists, socialists, and woke are all essentially capitalists. Their access to information and privileges ensures that. Maintaining revenue, business expansion, political dominance, champagne parties, the Met galas, and Sufi nights are all parts of the heady mélange of the cabal with business as the primary aim.
So, corporates are lobbied to place advertisements on Twitter to ensure it had a revenue stream. In return corporates get celebrities to endorse and further their brand. Blatant hypocrisy is on public display as corporations and their executives add He/Him, She/Her, and rainbow frames to their pictures to espouse a cause but refrain from it in parts of the world where it is taboo and so business interests could be hurt.
Diwali can cause pollution but stubble-burning cannot because that would appease the socio-political group that is “part of the ecosystem”. Cow milk is sinful but animal sacrifice is a religious way. Agitation against Hijab in Iran is okay because Iran is at loggerheads with the Western World but wearing Hijab in India is a religious right and must be vociferously defended with countless demonstrations and endless court cases. The cabal never has and never will care about causes or activism or activists. It cares about money and self-preservation. That is the reality.
While buying Twitter, Elon Musk mentioned his suspicion about spam, bots, and ghost accounts which were driving up the traffic on the platform. He spoke about freedom of speech with bipartisan moderation and only when it was necessary. Not that Musk is an angel but the argument was that the principle of the platform was being undermined by the biases of its management in collusion with various left-liberal-woke ecosystems. The takeover thus has not gone down well. And that is why spin-doctors, ecosystem handlers, and trollers have been working tirelessly to develop a new narrative of Musk being hare-brained, stupid, stuck-in-shit of his own making.
Stories about advertisement revenue losses are constantly doing the rounds. Celebrity & Political “blue-ticks” have been pressed into action to troll Musk and others who have been favoring a more balanced Twitter platform. All this suggests that the sucker punch has landed and it has hit where it hurts. Lay-offs of senior executives and a busload of free-loaders at Twitter within days of the buy-out have sent shock waves through the global left-liberal ecosystem. It means that maybe the playing field will be leveled. With the shields of biased moderation, shadow bans, and elitist “blue-ticks” gone, the cabal knows that it is a man-to-man fight now as the opponent is getting ready to give as good as it gets.
