Texas-based Krypton Solutions to invest $100 Million in Karnataka

A step towards enhancing technological infrastructure in Karnataka, Texas-based Krypton Solutions is on the verge of injecting a substantial investment of USD 100 million (approximately Rs 832 crore) to establish a cutting-edge Printed Circuit Board (PCB) fabrication unit. This prospective development took shape during a pivotal meeting between company representatives, Texas Instruments, and an official delegation led by Karnataka's Minister for Large & Medium Industries, M B Patil, in the United States.
Krypton Solutions has identified Bommasandra in Bengaluru as the location for its forthcoming PCB facility and has already initiated preliminary discussions with the government to advance this strategic venture.
During the meeting between Krypton Solutions and the government delegation, several investment possibilities in Karnataka were explored, including Mysuru and Chamarajanagara. Krypton Solutions expressed keen interest in establishing local partnerships and sought support in identifying suitable entry and growth partners within the Indian market.
The delegation had the opportunity to tour Krypton's impressive 40,000 square feet facility, gaining valuable insights into the company's operations and potential contributions to the state's technological landscape.
Highlighting Texas Instruments' historical presence in Karnataka, the release noted that the company had pioneered by establishing an R&D center in Bengaluru as early as 1985. This R&D center stands as the largest facility outside of the Texas Instruments headquarters in Dallas.
The meeting featured discussions with Senior Vice-President and General Manager Amichai Ron, as well as Stephen Bonner, Vice-President and the head of Global Government Relations at Texas Instruments. Karnataka's Minister for Large & Medium Industries, M B Patil, led the delegation, accompanied by senior officials from the Department of Commerce and Industries.
Conversations with Texas Instruments also delved into potential Research and Development initiatives for Analog and Embedded Semiconductors, with a prospective exploration of the Whitefield semiconductor park.
Additionally, the discussions aimed to address ways to enhance the ease of doing business, reducing obstacles to investment. During the visit to Texas Instruments, the delegation had the opportunity to tour the 300-mm wafer fab manufacturing site, gaining valuable insights into the company's semiconductor manufacturing operations.
