Asserting that BJP's criticism of Sidhu was double standards, Azmi challenged them to criticize PM Modi for hugging former PM Nawaz Sharif during his visit to Pakistan.
“While he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Modi won elections by evoking “Miya Musharraf” jabs and targeting Pakistan. But immediately as he became PM the same Modi invited Nawaz Sharif and laid red carpet for him during his swearing-in. He also hugged him on his birthday, enjoyed a Dawaat and offered gifts,” said Azmi.
"Sidhu is a sardar and members of his family have also sacrificed their lives for the country," Azmi said. “Who knows if the Army Chief hugged him or he hugged the Army Chief? It may have been Sidhu who whispered warnings in his ear not to mess with India. Who knows”?
Maharashtra SP President Abu Azmi has also supported Akhilesh Yadav’s statement of Jinnah. Abu Azmi, who reached Varanasi today, attacked the BJP fiercely. During this, he supported the statement given by the SP President, Akhilesh Yadav on Jinnah. He said that everyone had fought together for the independence of the country.
Akhilesh had only talked about history, he did not take any side. Abu Azmi said that no one in the country likes Jinnah’s name. That is why no one’s vote bank is going to increase in his name. Not only this, but the SP leader also called all Pakistanis including Imran Khan as real brothers of India.
The Maharashtra SP President arrived in Varanasi today for the Parivartan Yatra. His speech was also delivered to the SP workers at the Naved Complex in Beniabagh at that time. His visit was warmly welcomed.
As part of his Parivartan Yatra, Abu Azmi said he is building awareness in Varanasi. Aimed at the BJP, he said the PM has promised free food to 80 crore people. Apparently, he ridiculed the PM for bringing 80 crore people below the poverty line.
Stating that inflation is increasing every day, SP leader Abu Azmi attacked the BJP. As the BJP loses popularity in UP, the people are now recalling Akhilesh Yadav's development achievements. In an 11-month-long peasant movement, the SP leader said 700 farmers lost their lives, yet still the Nazi government could not even listen. Abu Azmi continued by taunting that because of the elections he was forced to withdraw all three bills because the farmers were not willing to listen to him.
SP leader claimed the BJP has not accomplished anything in five years. On the highway of Agra, Akhilesh Yadav landed an airplane five years ago. Thirty percent of the work on the highway was done by the SP government. It was therefore necessary to invite him at the time of the inauguration. The BJP was attacked today in Varanasi by Abu Azmi, who also backed Akhilesh's declaration about Jinnah.
