Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the vigraha of Ram Lalla at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, personally leading the rituals during the Pran Pratishtha ceremony in the sanctum Sanctorum of the grand temple.
Amidst an aura of profound devotion, the unveiling of the Ram Lalla vigraha took place at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya. Indian Air Force (IAF) choppers adorned the temple premises by showering flower petals during the ceremony.
As the vigraha of Ram Lalla was revealed, a chorus of 'Jai Sri Ram' resonated from devotees and guests in attendance. Notable figures present at the ceremony included RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, and state Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The grand temple ceremony drew over 8,000 guests, signifying the significance and grandeur of the occasion.
Representatives from all major spiritual and religious sects across the country are actively participating in the historic Pran Pratishtha ceremony. Additionally, individuals from diverse backgrounds, including representatives of various tribal communities, are expected to be in attendance. The Prime Minister is slated to address this distinguished gathering during the occasion.
The Prime Minister interacted with the shramjeevis who were actively involved in the construction of the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir. During the visit, he explored the Kuber Tila, where the restoration of the ancient Mandir of Bhagwan Shiv had been undertaken.
In his address following the presiding over the 'pran pratishtha' ceremony at Ayodhya Ram Mandir, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed, "Our Ram has arrived! Ram Lalla will not stay in a tent now. He will stay in the grand temple."
Highlighting the significance Prime Minister remarked, "The sunrise of January 22 has brought a wonderful glow. January 22, 2024, is not a date written on the calendar. It is the origin of a new time cycle. The construction of Ram Mandir has filled people with a new energy."
Acknowledging past delays, Prime Minister Modi humbly stated, "Today, I apologize to Bhagwan Ram as something was lacking in our love and penance due to which this work (construction of Ram Temple) was not done for so many years. However, that gap has been bridged today, and I am confident that Bhagwan Ram will forgive us."
"After legal battles, the judiciary ensured justice for Bhagwan Ram's existence, leading to the legal construction of the Ram temple," said PM Modi. He added, "The temple's construction reflects the maturity of Indian society, signifying not just triumph but humility."
Anticipating a changing 'kaal chakra,' PM Modi stated, "Our generation is chosen to represent this change. Let's lay the foundation for the next 1,000 years, pledging to build a capable, grand, divine India." Closing with optimism, he declared, "India is now full of positive energy, poised for prosperity guided by tradition and modernity."
