President Murmu hails Ram Mandir says, 'Centuries-old aspirations turned into reality' in her inaugural address

President Droupadi Murmu delivered her inaugural address to the joint sitting of both Houses of Parliament, marking the commencement of the Budget Session. She emphasized that this was her first address in the new Parliament building, constructed at the onset of the 'Amrit Kaal' era.
President Droupadi Murmu, in her address during the joint sitting of both Houses of Parliament, commended the Narendra Modi government for its accomplishments, specifically acknowledging the passage of the women's reservation bill.
Murmu congratulated Prime Minister Modi and stated, "My government is working comprehensively to empower women at every level." Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Modi, under the guidance of the President and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, highlighted the strength of 'Nari Shakti' in this session, further emphasizing the government's commitment to women's empowerment.
President Droupadi Murmu expressed that the construction of the Ram temple, a dream cherished for centuries, has transformed into a reality. She highlighted the consecration ceremony of the new Ram Lalla idol in Ayodhya, which took place on January 22.
President Droupadi Murmu remarked on India's economic progress in the last decade, noting the transformation from being part of the 'Fragile 5' to becoming one of the top five economies. She highlighted the significant improvement in the country's inflation rate, which has reduced from double digits to within 4%.
She asserted that the longstanding slogans of eradicating poverty are now translating into tangible results. Citing data from NITI Aayog, she stated that during the 10-year rule of her government, approximately 25 crore people have successfully emerged from poverty on a large scale.
She added that there is pride in the nation's indigenous defense equipment, highlighting it as a meaningful outcome of her government's efforts for internal peace. Emphasizing the effectiveness of India's response to challenges like terrorism and expansionism, she commended the armed forces for delivering fitting replies to these threats.
President Droupadi Murmu stated, that despite global crises, her government successfully maintained control over inflation, preventing an increased burden on the common man.
She highlighted ongoing efforts to facilitate ease of doing business in India, aiming to create a conducive environment for enterprises. President Murmu affirmed the government's unwavering commitment to empowering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and supporting small entrepreneurs.
President highlighted the significant allocation of tax revenue towards empowering youth, women, farmers, and the economically disadvantaged. She emphasized the government's vision of building a developed India on the robust pillars of youth power, women power, farmers, and the poor. Additionally, President Murmu proudly acknowledged India's possession of one of the world's strongest banking systems.
