Secretary of State Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski has expressed Poland's dedication to strengthening ties with India across multiple domains in anticipation of the significant 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Bartoszewski emphasized Poland's commitment to enhancing air connectivity beyond the existing link between New Delhi and Warsaw, to foster increased tourism and business interactions between India and Poland.
In an interview, Bartoszewski emphasized the importance of increasing the number of direct flights between New Delhi and Warsaw to facilitate enhanced travel opportunities. He highlighted the significance of these measures in fostering greater people-to-people connections and economic engagement between India and Poland.
Bartoszewski also noted the active involvement of the thriving Indian diaspora in Poland, both in business ventures and cultural exchange activities, underscoring its pivotal role in strengthening bilateral ties.
Reflecting on the imminent diplomatic milestone, the Polish Secretary of State highlighted the significance of the upcoming celebration marking the 70th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between India and Poland in 1954.
He noted the absence of any significant issues during the past seven decades, portraying this occasion as an opportune moment to deepen collaboration. Bartoszewski emphasized Poland's keenness to witness India's increasing role on the global stage, both economically and politically, especially considering its recent ascent to become the world's fifth-largest economy and its status as the largest democracy.
Asserting Poland's desire for greater Indian involvement, Bartoszewski underscored India's potential to wield significant influence due to its substantial population and democratic principles.
Bartoszewski talked about different areas where Poland and India can work together, like renewable energy, digital projects, and new technologies. He said Poland is excited to have discussions with India to make practical plans together because they share similar values and views. Also, Bartoszewski and India's Minister of State for External Affairs, Meenakshi Lekhi, revealed a special logo to celebrate the bond between the two countries.
