Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 30 April 2025 paid tribute to Mahatma Basaveshwara on his birth anniversary. He described Basaveshwara's ideas as the social and cultural foundation of India, which are based on the dignity of labour, equality and selfless service. Modi referred to 'Kayakave Kailasa', which equates labour with worship of God. The Prime Minister congratulated the people of Karnataka and described Basaveshwara's ideas as inspiring towards a prosperous and inclusive India.
 

30 अप्रैल 2025 को प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने महात्मा बसवेश्वर की जयंती के अवसर पर उन्हें श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की। उन्होंने बसवेश्वर के विचारों को भारत की सामाजिक और सांस्कृतिक नींव के रूप में प्रस्तुत किया, जो श्रम की गरिमा, समानता और नि:स्वार्थ सेवा पर आधारित हैं। मोदी ने 'कायाकवे कैलासा' का उल्लेख करते हुए बताया कि श्रम को भगवान की पूजा के समान माना गया है। प्रधानमंत्री ने कर्नाटक के लोगों को बधाई दी और बसवेश्वर के विचारों को समृद्ध और समावेशी भारत की दिशा में प्रेरक बताया।
