Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated his 75th birthday with a number of new initiatives during his visit to the Dhar district in Madhya Pradesh. Over 1.5 lakh people gathered at the domes to have a glance at the Prime Minister, who landed in Indore by a special plane and then travelled by helicopter to Dhar. There, he launched the 'Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar' and the 8th Rashtriya Poshan Maah campaigns, both of which are aimed at improving women's health services and promoting nutrition.
Before the event began, women and youth groups broke into dance and songs, with chants of 'Modi, Modi' echoing in the air. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav also arrived at the venue. At a public event, the Prime Minister released a new instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY), which directly credits the accounts of more than one million women who are beneficiaries. This program, which helps pregnant and lactating mothers, will continue to be a key part of India's strategy for maternal health and welfare.
In a symbolic gesture, the Prime Minister launched the 'Ek Bagiya Maa Ke Naam' campaign by giving a sapling to a woman from a self-help group. This initiative will encourage more than 10,000 women to cultivate gardens named 'Maa Ki Bagiya', thereby promoting environmental care while honouring motherhood.
Alongside these initiatives, awareness sessions on yoga, Ayurveda, and healthy living were organised. Nutrition camps were also held throughout the state to improve maternal and child health, ensuring the early detection and treatment of illnesses related to malnutrition.
Modi also laid the foundation stone for India's first PM Mitra Textile Park in Bhainsola village. The park, which covers 2,158 acres, is intended to turn Madhya Pradesh into a textile hub, connecting the entire cotton processing chain within the state. This project is expected to lower costs, provide better prices for farmers, attract new investment, and create thousands of jobs.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that Pakistan’s own terrorists had confirmed what India has been stating for many years. He said that Bahawalpur remains a central location for cross-border terror activities.
"Today, the whole world has seen how terrorists from Pakistan themselves have accepted the truth, how Jaish terrorists have exposed Pakistan," he stated with force. "They admitted that India’s strike destroyed their bases."
Recalling India's strong response to previous terror attacks, PM Modi added, "Terrorists from Pakistan did Pahalgam, our jawans destroyed the terrorists' hubs in Pakistan. This is the new Bharat, it does not fear any nuclear threat. 'Ghar mein ghus kar maarta hai' (we strike inside their home)," which drew a loud round of applause from the crowd. The Prime Minister claimed that Pakistan's repeated denials to the FATF and other international organisations had now been proven false. He said this strengthened India's position on the global stage.
Through all these initiatives, the Prime Minister's birthday was focused on empowerment, progress, and inclusive development. It reflects a vision that brings together welfare, environmental care, and industrial growth.
