PM Modi holds Meetings With Global Leaders During India AI Impact Summit in Delhi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a series of important bilateral meetings with several world leaders on the sidelines of the India AI Impact Summit in New Delhi today. The Prime Minister further highlighted that India and Spain are planning to mark the year 2026 as the India-Spain Year of Culture, Tourism and AI. He said this initiative will help strengthen people-to-people relations and bring both countries closer through cultural exchange and tourism promotion. He also expressed happiness about a large delegation of universities from Spain visiting India, saying such educational cooperation will help connect the citizens of both countries and support long-term collaboration.
Apart from Spain, Prime Minister Modi also held discussions with the Prime Minister of Finland, Antti Petteri Orpo. Their meeting focused mainly on strengthening cooperation in sustainability and digitalisation. Both leaders discussed the future of AI research, ethical innovation, and how Indian talent can play a major role in strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
Prime Minister Modi praised Finland’s growing role as an emerging leader in innovation, especially in artificial intelligence. The External Affairs Ministry said in its statement that India and Serbia share long-standing friendly relations. Both sides expressed interest in building on this friendship and expanding cooperation in modern sectors like technology and finance.
Prime Minister Modi also held a bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister of Croatia, Andrej Plenkovic. The meeting was also held on the sidelines of the India AI Impact Summit. According to the schedule shared, Prime Minister Modi is expected to meet several other leaders later in the day.
