In a momentous event on June 27th, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took part in the grand inauguration of five new Vande Bharat trains at Rani Kamalapati Railway Station in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
While addressing BJP booth workers in Bhopal PM Modi, emphasized that the newly launched Vande Bharat trains would enhance economic connectivity nationwide.
He also said, "I congratulate my brothers and sisters in Madhya Pradesh as they get two Vande Bharat Express trains today. The journey from Bhopal to Jabalpur will be faster and more comfortable now."
The recently flagged-off Vande Bharat trains include the Bhopal (Rani Kamalapati)-Indore Vande Bharat Express, Bhopal (Rani Kamalapati)-Jabalpur Vande Bharat Express, Ranchi-Patna Vande Bharat Express, Dharwad-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express, and Goa (Madgaon)-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express.
The Bhopal (Rani Kamalapati)-Jabalpur Vande Bharat Express will significantly improve connectivity between the Mahakaushal region (Jabalpur) and the Central region (Bhopal) of Madhya Pradesh. It will reduce travel time by nearly two hours and 30 minutes compared to the current fastest train on the route. The enhanced connectivity will benefit the tourism sector in the region.
During a rally addressing party workers, Prime Minister Narendra Modi advocated for a Uniform Civil Code (UCC), emphasizing the need for equality for all instead of the country operating under "two laws." However, following his remarks, several Opposition leaders alleged that Modi's mention of the UCC was politically motivated, suggesting that it was a tactic to divert attention from pressing issues in the country.
Stating that "Opposition unity was intact and would continue," Congress general secretary KC Venugopal, speaking to news agency ANI, said, "He (PM) should first answer about poverty, price rise and unemployment in the country. He never speaks on the Manipur issue the whole state is burning for the last 60 days. He is just distracting people from all these issues."
Speaking on Triple Talaq, PM Modi had said, "Whoever talks in favour of Triple Talaq, whoever advocates it, those vote bank hungry people are doing a great injustice to Muslim daughters. Triple talaq doesn't just do injustice to daughters. It is beyond this; the whole family gets ruined. If it has been a necessary tenet of Islam, then why was it banned in countries like Qatar, Jordan, Indonesia, Pakistan and Bangladesh."
AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi criticized PM Modi's comments on Triple Talaq and UCC, stating, "Modi ji gets inspiration from Pakistani law on triple talaq. The law against triple talaq here did not make a difference at the ground level. Exploitation of women has increased. Social reform won't happen through laws; focus should be on men who abandon marriages."
