Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticised the opposition INDIA bloc, alleging reports of a purported 'one year one PM' scheme within the alliance. He accused them of actively bidding for the position of Prime Minister.
During a rally in Madhya Pradesh, Prime Minister Modi delivered a harsh criticism of the Congress party, accusing the longstanding political entity of "undermining the principles of social justice" under the guise of secularism.
During the rally in Betul, Prime Minister Modi stated that there have been media reports suggesting that the INDI alliance is engaged in discussions regarding a 'one year one PM' formula.
He remarked, "This implies one PM for each year, with a new PM for each subsequent year, up to the fifth year... They are also actively engaged in auctioning the Prime Minister's chair."
He continued by accusing the Congress of harbouring animosity towards Dalits, backward classes, and tribals.
He asserted, "The dangerous concealed agenda of the Congress has now come to light. The Congress, which engages in vote bank politics under the pretext of secularism, has also undermined the fundamental principle of social justice. It is now evident how much the Congress party despises Dalits, backward classes, and tribals."
He stated that when the Congress government took office at the Centre, they initially implemented religion-based reservation in Andhra Pradesh. However, their efforts did not entirely succeed. Modi alleged that Congress still aims to pursue this agenda.
He accused Congress of attempting to alter the reservation quota for Other Backward Classes (OBCs) in Karnataka by categorising all Muslims in the state as OBCs. According to Modi, this move by Congress serves as a cautionary signal for the OBC community across the nation.
