Pakistan conducts successful training launch of 'Fatah-II' rocket system

Pakistan's army announced the successful training launch of the guided multi-launch rocket system 'Fatah-II', which possesses the capability to engage targets with high precision up to a range of 400 kilometres. The launch of the Fatah-II Guided Rocket System aimed to refine launch drills and procedures, as stated by the army in a released statement.

The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that the "Fatah-II" is currently being inducted into Pakistan's Artillery Divisions for the purpose of stand-off and precision engagement of deep targets. According to the ISPR, the rocket system will notably enhance the reach and lethality of Pakistan Army's conventional arsenal.

The ISPR highlighted that the "Fatah-II" is furnished with a state-of-the-art navigation system, along with unique trajectory and manoeuvrable features. It emphasised that the rocket system possesses the capability to engage targets with high precision and to overcome any missile defence system.

Furthermore, the Pakistan Army announced that the "Fatah-II" is currently undergoing induction into Pakistan's Artillery Divisions, with the primary objective of enabling stand-off, precision engagement of deep targets. This induction is expected to substantially enhance the reach and lethality of the army's conventional arsenal.

The flight test of the "Fatah-II" was observed by a panel of senior army officers, scientists, and engineers, who closely monitored the system's performance and capabilities.

Following the successful test, President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and other senior army officers extended their congratulations to the troops and scientists involved in the achievement.

Pakistan's successful test launch of the 'Fatah-II' rocket system marks a pivotal advancement in its military capabilities. With its precision targeting and enhanced range, the system's induction into the Artillery Divisions signifies a significant stride towards fortifying the nation's defensive prowess and strategic preparedness.
