Hours after India launched precision strikes on terror camps across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) under Operation Sindoor, new visuals emerged from Muridke, the headquarters of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), showing serving members of the Pakistan Army attending the funeral of terrorists along with top LeT commander Abdul Rauf.
The video, reportedly recorded at the Lashkar compound in Muridke, shows Pakistani soldiers taking part in ceremonial funeral proceedings. The funeral took place after the Indian Air Force strikes. The footage captured Abdul Rauf and uniformed army personnel attending the funeral of terrorists who were killed during the operation.
Shiv Sena MP Milind Deora shared the video and wrote: "Plotting. Assisting. Killing. Inciting. Shielding. Training. Arming. Nurturing. That’s what P-A-K-I-S-T-A-N really stands for. Even after 9/11, 26/11, Abbottabad & now #Pahalgam, how much more proof does the world need?"
Retired Major Surendra Poonia also reacted sharply to the visuals. He said, "Serving Pakistani Army officers are openly attending the funerals of terrorists eliminated in Operation Sindoor — a stark reminder that the Pakistani Army and terrorism always walk hand in hand!"
India carried out Operation Sindoor as a calibrated response to the Pahalgam terror attack, where 26 civilians were gunned down.
The Indian armed forces struck nine terror-linked locations connected to Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), LeT, and Hizbul Mujahideen, five in PoK and four in Pakistan, including Muridke and Bahawalpur.
Muridke, located about 30 kilometres from Lahore, has long served as LeT’s ideological base. It is the same site where the 26/11 attacker Ajmal Kasab received training.
Intelligence reports confirm that LeT-linked individuals like David Headley and Tahawwur Rana had associations with the Muridke facility. Reports also indicate that Osama bin Laden contributed to this centre.
The strikes also killed ten family members and close aides of Jaish-e-Mohammed founder Masood Azhar. Indian forces specifically targeted JeM’s key location in Bahawalpur — Markaz Subhan Allah — where multiple top operatives had gathered.
Top security sources confirmed that those killed were not only relatives but also active members of the terror group. They played roles in planning and logistical support for operations.
