RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, during his visit to Aligarh on Sunday, emphasised the importance of ending caste-based divisions within the Hindu community. He encouraged everyone to follow the idea of "one temple, one well, and one cremation ground" for all, to promote social harmony.
While addressing RSS volunteers (swayamsevaks) at two shakhas—one at HB Inter College and the other at Panchan Nagri Park—he said that true unity in society is necessary for India to carry out its global role as a messenger of peace. According to RSS sources, Mohan Bhagwat emphasised that 'sanskar' (values) form the foundation of Hindu society. He urged members to build a community based on tradition, cultural values, and moral principles. He encouraged swayamsevaks to connect with people from all sections of society and welcome them into their homes, promoting unity and harmony at the grassroots level.
RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat said that the family is the basic building block of society, and strong family values come from 'sanskar' (good cultural upbringing). He also encouraged people to celebrate festivals together, as it helps build a sense of nationalism and unity in society.
His visit, which started on April 17, includes daily meetings with RSS pracharaks (volunteers) from the Braj region. This visit is part of the organisation’s preparations for its 100-year celebrations, which will begin on Vijayadashami later this year.
