Odisha secures Rs 2.43 lakh crore investment proposals in UAE outreach

Odisha has secured investment proposals worth more than Rs 2.43 lakh crore during a three-day outreach programme in the United Arab Emirates, the state government said. The initiative, led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, resulted in 24 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and investment intents across several sectors.
The outreach included 32 one-to-one meetings and round-table discussions with investors in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The proposed investments cover travel and tourism, logistics, finance, processed food, critical minerals and rare earths, metals and mining, aluminium and steel downstream industries, among other sectors.
The concluding day featured the Odisha Investors' Meet-UAE 2026 in Dubai. Around 400 business leaders and investors attended the event. The state government presented investment opportunities in Odisha and held discussions with potential investors.
Several UAE-based companies expressed interest in projects in Odisha. CAZBAA Project Ventures FZCO signed an MoU for LNG storage. Rana Holdings Limited entered into an MoU covering green energy, AI data centres and rare earths. Sharaf Group signed an MoU for the housing sector, while PTCL Infrastructure signed agreements in steel and steel downstream industries.
The state also received investment intents from several companies. Dalwin Marine and Turbo Power Engineering expressed interest in ship repair projects. Ion Technologies Pvt Ltd proposed setting up a propellant manufacturing plant. Agrifields FZCO submitted an investment Letter of Intent (LoI) for projects in fertilisers and chemicals.
Majhi also held one-to-one meetings with leading UAE-based business leaders and investors during the outreach. The discussions focused on investment opportunities and potential projects in Odisha across key sectors.
After the investors' meet, the chief minister interacted with the Odia diaspora in Dubai. More than 800 community members attended the gathering. The event showcased Odisha's cultural heritage through Odissi and folk dance performances.
The state government said the outreach generated strong interest among UAE investors. The proposed investments spanning multiple industries aim to strengthen business ties between Odisha and the UAE while creating new economic opportunities in the state.
