The Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) has introduced a groundbreaking initiative called 'Yashaswini' under the 'Empower Her Udan' campaign, aimed at encouraging and supporting women entrepreneurs across India. The inaugural phase of this initiative kicks off today at the Rajasthan International Centre in Jaipur.
Ankita Pandey, Director of MSME, announced that approximately 600 women entrepreneurs from the state will participate in the event that is set to begin at the Rajasthan International Centre. She highlighted the initiative's goal to provide formal education to women running commercial enterprises and to raise awareness about the various MSME schemes available to them.
"This initiative is designed to introduce formal education for women entrepreneurs, alongside creating awareness about the numerous MSME schemes they can utilise," Pandey stated.
The event will feature various registration stalls where women can sign up for training based on the specific skills they need to develop their enterprises. These include training in capacity building, efficient capital utilisation, market access strategies, product development, and digital marketing. ‘This is not a one-day event; it will involve continuous training workshops at local MSME organizations,' she highlighted with additional workshops planned at local MSMEs to support ongoing development.
Union Minister for MSME Jitan Ram Manjhi, Union Minister of State for MSME Sobha Karandlaje, Chief Minister of Rajasthan Bhajan Lal Sharma, and State Cabinet Minister Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore will attend the event today.
