A portal has been launched by a volunteer group where people who have closely witnessed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s life or those who interacted with him during his life journey over the decades shared “untold and unheard” stories from his life.
The website, modistory.in, shares many “inspiring moments” stories and anecdotes of PM Modi's life, from those who have caught a glimpse into his life.
"Announcing the launch of MODI STORY, a volunteer driven initiative to bring together inspiring moments from Narendra Modi's life, as narrated by his co-travellers. Inaugurated by Smt. Sumitra Gandhi Kulkarni, granddaughter of Mahatma Gandhi," the portal tweeted from its Twitter handle.
“There are many people, from far and near, who have caught a glimpse into Modi's life, his intent, integrity and intensity. They came away inspired, keen to infuse the same 'can do' spirit in everyone. 'Modi Story' is about such voices,” the website said.
Among those who shared stories, experiences and anecdotes on the portal include Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Manoranjan Kalia from Punjab, a state PM Modi handled in the early days of his political journey as a party office-bearer, Rasbihari Maniyar, his school principal at Vadnagar in Gujarat, and Sharda Prajapati, in whose house the prime minister often stayed in the 1990s during his tours.
Olympic gold medallist Neeraj Chopra and ace shuttler Pullela Gopichand are also among those who have shared their experiences with the prime minister.
Several Union ministers shared the link of the website on their Twitter handle asking people to check out the “unique initiative”. Union minister Smriti Irani said, “Stories of grit & grace … memories of the magic of personal meetings, talks that reflect an amiable persona, a decisive political personality…stories till now untold, unheard.”
“Check out this unique initiative by a volunteer group! Interesting stories and anecdotes of PM Narendra Modi Ji’s journey and work in public life,” Union minister Anurag Thakur tweeted.
