Modi launches Rs 7,550 crore development projects in Madhya Pradesh

On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Jhabua in Madhya Pradesh. He inaugurated and laid foundation stones for development projects totalling ₹ 7,550 crores in the state. He additionally distributed monthly installments to nearly two lakh women beneficiaries as part of the state's 'Aahar Anudan Yojana.' Under the scheme, ₹ 1,500 per month is provided for nutritious food to women from especially backward tribes.
PM Modi also distributed 1.75 lakh 'adhikar abhilekh' (land rights records) under the Survey of Villages and Mapping with Improvised Technology in Village Areas (SVAMITVA) scheme, aiming to furnish people with documentary evidence affirming their right to land ownership.
PM Modi also laid the foundation stone of the Tantya Mama Bhil University which will cater to the youth from tribal-dominated districts of the state.
To be developed at a cost of Rs 170 crore, the university will provide world-class infrastructure for the holistic development of students.
Earlier, in an official release, the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) announced that Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to inaugurate various projects aimed at enhancing water supply and improving access to drinking water in Madhya Pradesh. Additionally, he will lay the foundation stone for initiatives such as the 'Talavada Project,' a drinking water supply scheme designed for over a thousand villages in Dhar and Ratlam. Already, there are 14 urban water supply schemes falling under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) 2.0. These schemes aim to enhance water accessibility for over 50 thousand urban households spanning various districts in Madhya Pradesh.
