On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was sworn in for a third consecutive term, alongside 72 new cabinet ministers. He is the first three-term Prime Minister since Congress leader Jawaharlal Nehru. With over 8,000 guests at Rashtrapati Bhavan, Modi and his council of ministers officially commenced the NDA’s third tenure.
Alongside Modi, senior BJP leaders Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, and Amit Shah were also sworn in as cabinet ministers. Party president J.P. Nadda rejoined the cabinet after five years, highlighting the Prime Minister’s focus on continuity and experience in his third term.

Prominent BJP leaders such as Nitin Gadkari, J.P. Nadda, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Nirmala Sitharaman, S. Jaishankar, Manohar Lal Khattar, H.D. Kumaraswamy, Piyush Goyal, and Dharmendra Pradhan became cabinet ministers in the NDA’s third term.
