A delegation from the Madhya Pradesh BJP, led by state chief V D Sharma submitted a written complaint against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi at a police station in Bhopal on Thursday. The BJP delegation approached the office of Additional Police Commissioner of Bhopal, Pankaj Srivastava to register a complaint against Rahul Gandhi, Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition. Sharma said during the meeting that the statements made by Rahul Gandhi while on a visit to the U.S. were highly objectionable. "Rahul Gandhi's statements during his visit to the US are highly objectionable. He should be booked for defamation,” Sharma remarked.
Subsequently, Sharma went on to present a letter written by J.P. Nadda, the National President of the BJP to Mallikarjun Kharge the head of the All India Congress Committee (AICC). In the letter, Nadda stated that Rahul Gandhi and other Congress leaders had used abusive words against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In his letter, Nadda accused Rahul Gandhi of hurling a record of abuses against PM Modi and OBCs and was on the side of anti-India forces. His letter was in response to the charge of the opposition party against the ruling alliance members for resorting to violent and derogatory language against the Congress MP.
The MP Congress under the leadership of Jitu Patwari filed a complaint two days ago against Ravneet Singh Bittu, the Union Minister of State for Railways, alleging that Bittu had referred to the leader of opposition Rahul Gandhi as the "number one terrorist of the country". The disparaging remark from Ravneet Singh Bittu came as a response to Rahul Gandhi's recent remarks about Sikhs while he was in the US.
Ravneet Singh Bittu was arrested in Bengaluru on Thursday for his comments against Rahul Gandhi. A day before the action, Ravneet Singh Bittu was the subject of a police report (FIR) filed at the High Grounds police station in Bengaluru. Rahul Gandhi's recent visit to the US has generated political controversy throughout the nation, and leaders of the Congress and BJP have been trading barbs ever since.
