According to a police statement issued on Friday, the recovery was a significant step toward reinforcing safety and security in the area.
The operation, carried out in Uyungmakhong, Bishnupur district, resulted in the discovery of a range of weaponry. The items seized included a 7.62 mm Self-Loading Rifle (SLR) with one magazine, six HE 36 grenades, four grenade arm rings, two tear gas grenades, three stinger grenades, five dual shells, and two Baofeng WT radio sets. Additionally, authorities discovered an improvised explosive device (IED) weighing approximately 2.3 kg, along with four HE 36 grenade detonators.
