On Saturday, Gurudwara Karte Parwan in Afghanistan’s Kabul was attacked by terrorists belonging to the ISIS Khurasan. The president of the Gurdwara Dashmesh Pita Guru Gobind Singh Karte Parwan confirmed that the terrorists open fired at the Sikh religious place in the city.
“Gunmen have opened fire in the gurdwara. We are on the other side of the building right now. Some people are suspected to be dead, but details will be clear only when we move inside”, President Gurnam Singh was quoted.
In a breaking development, all the terrorists, who attacked Gurdwara Karte Parwan Sahib in Afghanistan's Kabul city, are neutralised by Afghan soldiers. The Gurdwara Sahib is now under Afghanistan Police control and further updates on missing Sikhs are awaited.
At least one civilian and a Muslim security guard were killed and three security personnel injured after three explosions ripped through a gurdwara. An elderly person, Sawinder Singh, aged over 60-62 years (one of the two victims), was a resident from Ghazi and was a member of the Sikh community killed in the brutal attack.
Earlier it was reported 15 people were trapped inside the Gurdwara but later BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa informed that five people have been evacuated. However, three Sikhs present inside the Gurdwara are still missing, he said.
