According to reports from Iranian state media, a significant accomplishment has been achieved by Iran as they successfully develop a cutting-edge domestically manufactured drone termed Mohajer-10. This advanced drone boasts improved flight capabilities, including an extended range and duration, alongside an increased payload capacity.
Iranian media sources have reported the successful development of a new drone, named Mohajer-10 that showcases remarkable operational capabilities. This advanced drone is said to possess a substantial operational range, spanning approximately 2,000 kilometers (1,240 miles), allowing it to cover considerable distances. Notably, the drone's flight endurance has been significantly enhanced, enabling it to remain airborne for up to 24 hours without interruption.
In addition to its impressive range and endurance, the Mohajer-10 drone demonstrates an augmented payload capacity, capable of carrying loads weighing up to 300 kilograms. This enhancement represents a doubling of the payload capacity found in the previous iteration, the "Mohajer-6" drone. The increase in payload capability equips the drone to undertake a broader array of missions, bolstering its utility and effectiveness.
It is worth noting that previous allegations made by U.S. officials have implicated Iran in supplying Mohajer-6 drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles to Russia during the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. These claims, however, have been vehemently refuted by Tehran. The new Mohajer-10 drone's advanced features and capabilities further underscore Iran's continuous efforts to bolster its technological prowess within the realm of unmanned aerial vehicles.
The Mohajer-6 drone boasts a maximum takeoff weight ranging from 600 to 670 kilograms and showcases the capacity to carry armaments weighing approximately 100 to 150 kilograms, with the specific payload contingent upon the model. The drone's ground control station is reported to have a range spanning from 200 to 500 kilometers.
In terms of performance metrics, the Mohajer-6 achieves a maximum speed of 200 kilometers per hour. Its endurance allows it to remain operational for up to 12 hours. Furthermore, the drone exhibits an operational ceiling within the range of 16,000 to 18,000 feet. These specifications collectively contribute to the drone's versatility and efficacy in a range of operational scenarios.
