INS Chennai engages in joint exercise with Royal Saudi Naval Ship HMS Al Jubail

In a clear demonstration of its commitment to ensuring secure maritime environments, the Indian Navy has strategically positioned its indigenous guided missile destroyer, INS Chennai, within the Red Sea. This strategic move signifies a significant step toward safeguarding global waters.
In a bid to further enhance the spirit of camaraderie and multifaceted defense alliances between India and Saudi Arabia, INS Chennai conducted a notable port call to Jeddah from August 3rd to 5th.
According to reports, during this port visit, the Commanding Officer of INS Chennai engaged in a productive interaction with the Commander of Jeddah Border Guards. Moreover, as part of the diplomatic exchange, Mohd Shahid Alam, CGI Jeddah, visited the ship to acquaint himself with its operational prowess.
As per the report, the vessel's arrival was met with warm receptions from dignitaries representing the Royal Saudi Naval forces, Border Guards, and the Indian Embassy. Following its port call, INS Chennai embarked on a Passage Exercise (PASSEX) with the Royal Saudi Naval Ship HMS Al Jubail on August 5th.
This collaborative endeavor, executed off the coast of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, reportedly encompassed intricate tactical maneuvers, deft seamanship evolutions, and rigorous communication drills. These joint actions not only reinforced the foundation of mutual reliance but also solidified the operational rapport between the two maritime forces.
