India has achieved notable success on the global stage as its candidate, Uma Sekhar, secured a decisive victory in the elections for the governing council of the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT). This accomplishment gains added significance as candidates from Russia, the USA, and China were unsuccessful in securing any positions on the governing council.
