In a heartfelt show of unity and resilience, members of the Indian community in Japan came together at the iconic Hachiko Statue in front of Shibuya Station, Tokyo, to condemn the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, India.
Holding placards and the Indian national flag, participants stood in solemn silence, honouring the victims and expressing solidarity with their families. The gathering echoed a collective message against terrorism and violence, sending a strong reminder to the world:
Every step counts.
Every voice matters.
Your voice matters.
Your presence counts.
The peaceful demonstration highlighted the unwavering spirit of the Indian diaspora in Japan and their commitment to peace, justice, and humanity. Attendees included students, professionals, families, and representatives from various Indian organisations in Japan, all united in grief, remembrance, and resolve.
"We may be far from home, but our hearts remain deeply connected. Today, we came together not just to mourn, but to stand for something greater — a world without terror," said one of the organisers.
The community urged global citizens to speak up against terrorism being nurtured by Pakistan and support efforts that promote peace and harmony across borders.
