Indian Army and Patanjali inks MoU on Yoga and Wellness

The Indian Army and Patanjali Yogpeeth signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the army headquarters in Bareilly, North India Region. The MoU encompasses various subjects, including yoga, ayurveda medicine, and wellness, with a specific focus on enhancing the well-being of army jawans. The agreement reflects the commitment to fostering holistic health and fitness for military personnel.
Patanjali Yogpeeth and military officials have officially joined forces to collaborate in the realms of yoga, ayurvedic medicine, and overall wellness and healthcare, aiming to enhance the well-being of soldiers, as per a statement released by Patanjali Yogpeeth.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in the presence of key figures, including Acharya Balkrishna, the General Secretary of Patanjali Yogpeeth, Lieutenant General NS Raja Subramani (GOC in C Central Command), Lieutenant General RC Tiwari (GOC North India Zone), Brigadier Aman Anand, Commander of Headquarters 9 (Independent Mountain Brigade Group), and Major Vivek Jacob (CLAW, Global).
Furthermore, Patanjali and its affiliated organizations have conveyed their dedication to giving preference to retired military personnel in the hiring process for various roles within the Patanjali establishment.
The initiative aimed to highlight the significance of Yoga, Ayurveda, and wellness while sharing extensive research findings on Ayurvedic medicines, crucial for the health and well-being of military personnel stationed in the biodiverse Himalayan regions at high altitudes.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was formalized between the Patanjali Institutions and the Indian Army, signaling a commitment to advancing research on medicinal plants and exploring the various applications of IT and automation within the Indian Army.
Furthermore, Patanjali and its affiliated organizations have affirmed a strong commitment to giving preference in hiring retired military personnel for diverse roles within the Patanjali establishment.
The conversation delved into critical topics such as managing migration from mountainous regions, ensuring robust border protection, fostering VIBRANT villages, and cultivating local resources for employment, with a specific focus on adventure-related sectors.
