India continues to take major steps towards building a stronger and more self-reliant military. In one such significant achievement, the Defence Research and Development Organisation’s (DRDO) newly developed Zorawar light tank has successfully test fired the Nag Mark II missile. The test proved that the tank and missile together form a powerful combination, with both range and accuracy performing far beyond expectations. The precision with which the missile hit its target showed the strength and reliability of India’s defence technology.
The successful test of the Nag Mark II missile from the Zorawar tank marks an important milestone in India’s mission to modernise its armed forces. After Operation Sindoor, India has been on high alert to upgrade its capabilities, focusing strongly on developing indigenous weapons and systems. The Defence Research and Development Organisation has been leading this effort, working closely with Indian industries to design and build advanced defence technologies.
According to a DRDO official, the test was completely successful. He said that all essential parameters including range, speed during attack mode, and precision strike were carefully examined during the trial. The video released by DRDO showed the missile’s direct and accurate hit on the target, confirming the system’s efficiency and reliability.
The Zorawar tank is the first indigenous light tank designed and developed by DRDO in collaboration with Larsen and Toubro. It is specially made for quick mobility and high performance in difficult terrains such as mountains and deserts. Following this successful test, the Zorawar tank will soon be handed over to the Indian Army, marking a proud moment for India’s defence scientists and engineers who continue to push the country towards greater self reliance in military technology.
