The AICTE and apna.co, India's foremost jobs and professional networking platform, unveiled the 'AICTE Career Portal.' This initiative aims to revolutionize the landscape of career prospects for engineering students throughout India. A MoU signed in February 2024 between apna.co and AICTE underscores their shared commitment to empowering individuals and driving national advancement. This strategic partnership, focusing on the dynamic employment sector, aims to leverage technology and empower recruiters to seize emerging opportunities.
Additionally, the collaboration offers students an exclusive opportunity to participate in the Silicon Valley Immersion Program. This immersive experience includes a fully-sponsored trip to Silicon Valley, USA, where students will directly engage with industry leaders at renowned companies such as Google, Apple, and Microsoft, among others.
apna.co, with its vast network of 5 lakh recruiters and engagement with over 1000 enterprises, plays a crucial role in this initiative, connecting fresh talent with half of the available jobs. The partnership between AICTE and apna.co underscores their commitment to providing students with exceptional opportunities for professional growth and global exposure.
The platform, tailored for job seekers, offers access to a wide range of national and international job opportunities, with internships to be added by Q3 FY2024. Features include an AI-powered Resume Builder, real-time job notifications, affinity-based professional groups for development, and upcoming additions of AI-assisted interview preparation and salary benchmarking.
During the portal launch, AICTE Chairman Prof TG Sitharam stressed the significance of the collaboration with apna.co. He highlighted that this partnership bridges the gap between government and startups, tackling crucial employment issues. Together, they aim to empower students, providing access to diverse job opportunities and fostering engagement with leading companies for talent development and economic growth.
Nirmit Parikh, Founder & CEO of apna.co, expressed commitment to empowering India's youth locally and globally amidst evolving job landscapes. The partnership with AICTE aims to address hurdles in the job market, providing fresh graduates with tools to launch careers and fulfill aspirations, showcasing dedication to the next generation's growth and success.
