IAF Pilot Abhinandan Varthaman returns home after ‘Procedural delays’ in Pakistan

After much delay and countless anxious moments, IAF Pilot Abhinandan Varthaman crosses over to Indian side of border little after 9 p.m.

‘Procedural delays’ and ‘document completion’ were some of the reasons given for the delay. However most commentators privately agreed this was Pakistan’s way of creating a spectacle and try to change headlines.

Indian Government has made it clear that there would be no ‘deal making’ with Pakistan with respect to release of Wing Commander Abhinandan. Pakistan was compelled to return the POW under Geneva convention.

Before releasing , a propaganda video of the brave Pilot was released in Pakistani Media signifying how this war is also a propaganda war besides armed conflict. For now India is relieved that our brave-heart is home. Tomorrow is another day.
