The government has decided to send seven multi-party delegations to various countries. These delegations will present India’s stand against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism, following Operation Sindoor.
These delegations will visit important partner countries later this month. Their destinations include member states of the United Nations Security Council.
Each team will consist of MPs from different political parties. The delegations will also include prominent political leaders and experienced diplomats.
These All-Party Delegations will highlight India’s unified and determined approach to countering terrorism in all its forms. They will deliver India’s strong message of zero tolerance toward terrorism to the international community.
The government has assigned leadership of the seven delegations to senior politicians. BJP’s Ravi Shankar Prasad and Baijayant Panda, Congress’s Shashi Tharoor, JDU’s Sanjay Kumar Jha, DMK’s Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, NCP’s Supriya Sule, and Shiv Sena’s Shrikant Eknath Shinde will each lead a group.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju emphasised the importance of the initiative. He said the delegations will carry India’s united message of zero tolerance for terrorism. He noted that this effort is a powerful reflection of national unity that rises above politics and differences.
Congress MP Shashi Tharoor expressed appreciation at being invited to lead one of the delegations. He said he is always available when national interest is involved and when his services are required.
BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad told the media that this initiative shows the foresight of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said the world will witness India’s collective resolve to stand united against terrorism.
BJP MP Baijayant Panda stated that Pakistan’s Army paid a heavy price for the terrorist attacks on India. He said Operation Sindoor sent them a strong message.
He stressed the need for India to counter Pakistan’s propaganda at the global level. He pointed out Pakistan’s attempts to misrepresent the situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
He added that India must take this message beyond foreign governments and reach international media, academics, and opinion-makers. He called this outreach a vital part of the initiative.
NCP MP Supriya Sule also accepted her role and thanked Prime Minister Modi, Minister Kiren Rijiju, and the Ministry of External Affairs. In a social media post, she reaffirmed that India remains proud, strong, and unwavering in its fight against terrorism.
