Gangster Goldy Brar, a key suspect in the murder case of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, has reportedly been shot dead in the United States. According to reports, the gangster was gunned down Tuesday (Apr 30) at around 5:30 pm local time in Fairmont and Holt Avenue, California.
Reports suggest that unidentified assailants reportedly shot at Brar and his associate while they were standing outside his residence. Both individuals were rushed to the hospital, where Brar succumbed to their injuries.
His rival gang Dalla-Lakhbir has taken responsibility for Goldy's murder. However, his death was not officially confirmed till the time of writing the news.
Goldy Brar, who was long believed to be in Canada and was among Canada’s 25 most wanted, has been linked as the mastermind behind the killing of Punjabi singer Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu aka Sidhu Moosewala. The singer was allegedly murdered on the instructions of Brar on May 29, 2022.
The Union Home Ministry stated that Satwinder Singh, also known as Satinderjit Singh or Goldy Brar, had affiliations with the Babbar Khalsa terrorist organisation.
Gurlal Brar, Goldy Brar's cousin, was killed outside a Chandigarh nightclub last year. Bishnoi's gang is said to have targeted Gurlal, a close aide, in vengeance for the death of Youth Congress leader Gurlal Pahalwan. Following these incidents, Goldy reportedly went to Canada in 2021. In 2017, he first entered Canada on a student visa.
US authorities are yet to comment on the attack.
