The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, on the last day of his visit to Israel, got an opportunity to witness Israel's futuristic, water purification vehicle, Gal-Mobile, demonstrated by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. 

Gal-Mobile is an integrated, water purification vehicle that purifies and desalinates sea water on the go, turning it into high-quality drinking water. The revolutionary technology, a brainchild of GAL Water Technologies, promises to solve water crisis situations during emergencies. 

The unique vehicle, which carries a mobile desalination plant, can be extremely useful in natural disaster scenarios like floods and earthquakes, or in military use, especially where drinking water is scarce.

India is looking to collaborate with Israel on issues relating to water management, as Israel is globally renowned for its leading-edge expertise in this domain. India believes, this cutting-edge technology can be exceedingly resourceful in challenging environments like floods and water shortages that India suffers from almost every year.  

The Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam and India’s Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation, in Jerusalem, on July 5, inked a memorandum of understanding with Israel’s Ministry of National Infrastructure, Energy and Water Resources, expressing India's interest in water utility reforms and water conservation.
