The French Minister Sabrina Agresti-Roubache inaugurated the MILIPOL India exhibition in the city. She emphasized the significance of the three-day exhibition as a tangible representation of the dialogue between New Delhi and Paris, with a specific focus on discussions related to homeland security.
Milipol India, a recent addition to the Milipol International Network, which focuses on events dedicated to internal security, is currently taking place at Pragati Maidan in Delhi. The event represents an important inclusion in this global network, underscoring its commitment to addressing and advancing discussions related to internal security. It is being hosted in the capital city's Pragati Maidan, where experts and stakeholders from various sectors convene to exchange insights and strategies concerning crucial aspects of security.
Inter Ads Exhibition Pvt Ltd from India and Comexposium from France are jointly organizing the event, with the backing of the Ministry of the Interior in France, as well as India's Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of External Affairs.
During an inaugural ceremony, Sabrina, France's Minister of State for Citizenship, highlighted that the event signifies President Emmanuel Macron's commitment to prioritizing the Indo-Pacific region in cooperation with India.
“This exhibition, which I have the honour of inaugurating alongside you, is a concrete expression of the importance of the dialogue between our two nations. Beyond this powerful symbol, the MILIPOL trade fairs are economic events with a strong international influence on an extremely dynamic global security market,” she said.
She added, “It comes at a time when we are celebrating the twenty-fifth anniversary of Indo-French strategic partnership, for which Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a historic visit as a guest of honour on the national day of the French Republic.”
The minister also remarked that the MILIPOL shows offer security solutions for businesses, saying, “they are at the forefront of the protection and security challenges of territories and their citizens. Today, we are delighted that this unique network of exhibitions, already established in Paris, Singapore and Doha, has found a home here in New Delhi.”
Impressed by the response to MILIPOL India, Sabrina mentioned, “Due to the strength and dynamism of your business community, which immediately expressed interest in this new show. In fact, 95% of the exhibitors at the three-day MILIPOL are from the Indian business community.”
The event featured over 150 national and international exhibitors, along with numerous sponsors. 'Milipol India' served as a global platform for international sellers and buyers to convene, network, introduce cutting-edge technology, showcase emerging trends, and address industry needs, all within a single venue.
Several countries, including Canada, the USA, France, the UAE, Belgium, Brazil, Vietnam, the Czech Republic, and others, proudly exhibited their latest trends, technologies, and innovations. The three-day concurrent conference tackled a broad spectrum of security topics, with contributions from various organizations including Delhi Police, Nepal Armed Police Force, Hyderabad Police, Bangladesh Police, Maldives Police, High French Institute of Security Research, DRDO, Tihar Prison Delhi, NCB/Interpol/CBI, International Missions, and Civil Defence.
