EAM Jaishankar meets journalists from Eurasian nations, commends their interest in enhanced exchanges

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar engaged with journalists from 10 Eurasian countries during their visit to India, focusing on New Delhi's enduring relationships with these nations and the significant transformations witnessed in India over the past decade.
The EAM expressed appreciation for the journalists' enthusiasm towards enhancing exchanges with India during their immersion visit. "Delighted to meet journalists from 10 Eurasian countries currently visiting India. I discussed our longstanding relationships, India's transformative changes over the past decade, and its potential for the Global South," Jaishankar shared on X platform.
Earlier today in the national capital, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar held meetings with the envoys of Kuwait, Sri Lanka, and New Zealand. Kuwaiti Ambassador Meshal Mustafa Jasim Alshemali visited Jaishankar to discuss bilateral relations, the welfare of the Indian community, and the interests of Indian workers in Kuwait. Jaishankar expressed his best wishes for Ambassador Alshemali's successful tenure.
Following this, Jaishankar met with Sri Lanka's High Commissioner Kshenuka D. Senewiratne, where they reviewed recent developments in bilateral relations, including Jaishankar's recent visit to Colombo. He extended his best wishes for High Commissioner Senewiratne's tenure.
Later, New Zealand's High Commissioner Patrick John Rata visited the Ministry of External Affairs, where discussions centered around enhancing India-New Zealand relations and exploring new avenues of cooperation. Jaishankar highlighted the potential for collaboration between the two nations.
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar engaged in discussions with Panama's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Janaina Tewaney Mencomo, expressing gratitude for her consistent support in fostering bilateral relations between India and Panama. Jaishankar underscored the importance of maintaining close communication for ongoing cooperation.
Later in the day, Chinese Ambassador Xu Feihong met with Jaishankar to discuss the bilateral relationship between India and China. They exchanged views on mutual interests aimed at stabilizing and progressing their diplomatic ties. Jaishankar extended best wishes for Ambassador Xu's tenure, emphasising the importance of constructive dialogue and collaboration between the two nations.
