Chhattisgarh CM unveils Rs 10k annual aid scheme for landless labourers

On Monday, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai launched the 'Deendayal Upadhyay Bhoomiheen Krishi Majdoor Kalyana Yojana' in Raipur.
Over 5.62 lakh state Baigas, Gunias, and landless agricultural labourers will receive financial aid of Rs 10,000 per year under this program. As a result, more than Rs 562 crores were disbursed to the scheme's beneficiaries yesterday. “Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Landless Agricultural Labourer Welfare Scheme' would bring prosperity to more than 5.62 lakh landless agricultural labourers of the state,” Sai said on X. He added that the welfare of landless agricultural labourers is a top priority for the double-engine government.
"The resolution was fulfilled, another guarantee of Modiji was fulfilled. Today, on the launch of the 'Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Landless Agricultural Labourer Welfare Scheme', prosperity has been spread among more than 5.62 lakh landless agricultural labourers of the state. Our double engine government is determined for the welfare of landless agricultural labourers," said Sai in a post on X. The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for 813 projects totalling Rs 155.38 crore while taking part in Raipur's "Nagar Vikas Ke Sopan" program.
CM Sai also launched 70 projects worth Rs 15.25 crore in various urban areas of the state. This includes the foundation stone for water supply schemes in six urban bodies, which will be built at a cost of Rs 270 crore under Amrit Mission 2.0. CM Sai told reporters that January 20 is a historic and proud day for the state's urban bodies. "This is a proud and historic day for the urban bodies of the state. Today, the foundation stone of works worth Rs 270 crores was laid in 6 urban bodies of the state. In other urban bodies, a foundation stone of 813 works worth Rs 155.83 Crores was laid. 70 works Rs 15.85 Crores were also inaugurated today,” said the CM.
