The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed that more than 80 Pakistani military and intelligence personnel were killed during a coordinated operation in Gwadar and nearby areas. The group named the offensive Operation Almas. The claims have not been independently verified.
In a statement issued on October 27, BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch said the operation began on October 22. The group claimed its fighters targeted Pakistani military installations, intelligence offices and security posts.
The BLF also claimed that its fighters destroyed 12 armoured vehicles and supply trucks, shot down four quadcopters and two surveillance drones, and seized two police stations.
According to the group, its fighters attacked a major Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) camp in Gwadar, along with military positions in Gabd and Rimdan. The BLF claimed its fighters controlled the main camp for more than 20 hours while clashes with Pakistani forces continued.
The group described the operation as a coordinated offensive against multiple security installations across Gwadar and surrounding areas. It said the destruction of military vehicles and surveillance equipment is part of the attacks.
The BLF said it named the operation after Commander Almas Baloch, a female fighter. The group described her as a key figure in planning the operation and leading fighters on the battlefield.
The group also threatened further attacks on Pakistani military installations and economic projects, including those linked to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The threat featured in the October 27 statement issued by spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch.
