BJP Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal on Tuesday launched a sharp attack on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal over the alleged paper leak cases in Punjab. She accused Kejriwal of remaining silent despite repeated allegations of examination irregularities in the state. Maliwal also claimed that the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) is the "B team" of the Aam Aadmi Party and alleged that Kejriwal's associates created the outfit.

Speaking to reporters in the Parliament House complex, Maliwal questioned Kejriwal's silence on the issue. She alleged that Punjab has witnessed several paper leak incidents over the past few years. According to her, students have repeatedly faced problems due to examination irregularities, yet the AAP leadership has not addressed the matter publicly.

Referring to the alleged incidents, Maliwal said, "There have been six major paper leaks in Punjab over the last five years, and on top of that, allegations of cheating have surfaced in several examinations. Even on July 19, there was massive cheating in the pharmacy examination," she alleged.

The Aam Aadmi Party has denied the allegations of paper leaks in Punjab.

Maliwal also targeted the Cockroach Janta Party and alleged that it has close links with the AAP. She claimed that the outfit was formed by people associated with Kejriwal and accused the AAP of supporting it through social media campaigns.

Making the allegation, she said, "CJP is his B team because it was created by his associates and with his money. The Aam Aadmi Party has run a massive paid PR campaign for the CJP on social media -- we all know this."

She further alleged that the AAP and the CJP avoid speaking on the issue of paper leaks in Punjab. According to Maliwal, both remain active on other political issues but stay silent when questions arise about accountability in Punjab.

Continuing her criticism, she said, "On one hand, they do all this, and on the other hand, when it comes to their own accountability, they go silent and disappear. Neither the CJP nor Arvind Kejriwal speaks about the paper leak issue in Punjab; they simply run away from it," she alleged.

Maliwal also accused the Punjab government of acting against students who protested over the alleged paper leaks. She claimed that while AAP leaders encourage protests on some issues, they respond differently when students raise concerns about examination irregularities in Punjab.

Referring to Kejriwal's public statements, she said, "Arvind Kejriwal makes videos every day saying that people should come out onto the streets and that Delhi and the country should become like Nepal."

She then compared those remarks with the government's response to protests in Punjab. Maliwal alleged that students faced police action despite holding peaceful demonstrations against the alleged paper leaks.

She said, "There were violent protests in Nepal. But when peaceful protesters -- young people in Punjab -- demonstrate against paper leaks, Arvind Kejriwal has them brutally lathi-charged," she alleged.

Maliwal also described Kejriwal as the person effectively running the Punjab government. She claimed that despite holding significant influence over the state's administration, he has not addressed the concerns raised by protesting students.

She said, "Arvind Kejriwal, who has effectively made himself the 'super chief minister' of Punjab, remains silent on this issue," Maliwal said.

The BJP MP also targeted Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann during her interaction with reporters. She criticised his conduct and accused him of making statements that were unrelated to the issue.

Speaking about the Punjab Chief Minister, she said, "The chief minister of Punjab, who remains intoxicated throughout the day, is making irrelevant and incoherent statements."

Maliwal argued that the government was adopting double standards while handling the issue of alleged paper leaks. She demanded accountability from the Punjab government and called for the resignation of the state's education minister.

Concluding her remarks, she said, "This is completely wrong, and such double standards should not exist. Punjab's education minister should resign immediately. And seriously, Arvind Kejriwal ji -- bro, it's done," she added.

The allegations made by Maliwal come amid continued political exchanges over examination-related issues in Punjab. While she accused the Aam Aadmi Party of ignoring concerns over the alleged paper leaks and acting against protesting students, the AAP has denied allegations of paper leaks in the state. The issue continues to remain a subject of political debate, with both sides presenting contrasting claims.
