Following the recent arrest and interrogation led by the NIA, of Mumbai cop Sachin Vaze over his connection in the Antilia bomb scare, more revelations spring up with each passing day.
Relative to the Antilia bomb scare, the Ministry of Home Affairs on Saturday transferred the death case of Mansukh Hiren, related to the Antilia security scare incident, to National Investigation Agency (NIA) from the Maharashtra ATS, news agency ANI reported.
In addition to these fresh developments that are unfolding, former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh’s letter has also come into the picture.
Singh, who was recently transferred from the top post, has alleged that Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh had asked suspended Mumbai Police officer Sachin Vaze to collect Rs 100 crore for him every month, reports India Today.
In a letter written to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Singh alleges, "Hon’ble Home Minister expressed to Shri Vaze that he had a target to accumulate Rs. 100 crores a month."
"For achieving the aforesaid target, the Hon’ble Home Minister told Shri Vaze that there are about 1,750 bars, restaurants and other establishments in Mumbai and if a sum of Rs. 2-3 lakhs each was collected from each of them, a monthly collection of Rs. 40-50 crores was achievable. The Hon’ble Home Minister added that the rest of the collection could be made from other sources," Parambir wrote.
Critical inputs from a Goa Chronicle reports are suggestive of a vicious criminal plot making Vaze just the tip of the iceberg.
The report makes a critical observation wherein the NIA is probing the Antilia case as a deeper inlay to a malicious terror attack. Furthermore, the report mentions Kenilworth Building possibly being one of the targets, as it falls in the vicinity, making the Antilia bomb scare twice as malicious and a locus of suspicion.
The peculiarity and importance of Kenilworth Building is that it is home to some senior officers and scientists of Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) and TATA Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), the report goes on to add.
With these developments that are slowly rising to the surface as the NIA leads its probe with a firm hand, there is not an ounce of doubt left that a big criminal conspiracy against the welfare of the land is soon to be exposed.
