West Bengal, which has been harbinger to an unparallel increase in Muslim population in the last few decades, witnessed repeated communal clashes in Baduria of West Bengal over allegedly objectionable Facebook post. Blasphemy isn’t something Indians are acquainted with but West Bengal under 'minority' appeasing TMC government has become attuned to such incidents in Kaliachak, Malda, Dhulagarh and several other places of West Bengal. This incident has far strengthened the transformation of West Bengal to Banglastan under the present minority appeasing government.
The riots erupted after a rumor spread regarding an objectionable Facebook post and the person responsible was nabbed by the police immediately at Baduria in Basirhat sub-division of North 24 Parganas. The incident got out of control when local Muslims with arms gheraoed the thana and wanted the man who had ‘committed blasphemy’ to be handed over to them. The situation was so alarming that four companies of BSF personnel (about 400 personnel) were rushed to Baduria and adjoining areas of Basirhat, Swarupnagar and Deganga to assist the local administration. Schools, shops, markets and business establishments remained shut in and around Baduria, including Keosha market, Banshtala, Ramchandrapur and Tentulia and as of now, prohibitory orders are still in force.
West Bengal Chief Minister tried to divert the focus of complete mismanagement and anarchy by accusing the Governor of misconduct. Governor KN Tripathi had reminded her of her duties as a Chief Minister to safeguard the victims and those who are living under fear in riot-affected areas. It seems at the moment that the President's rule is the only solution to bring peace at this juncture of time and bring an end to this mindless violence.
