Army Chief Gen Dwivedi assesses readiness of Vajra, Dagger Divisions

Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi visited the Vajra Division Headquarters in Jalandhar, Punjab, on Tuesday. During his visit, he received a detailed briefing on the operational readiness and capabilities of both the Vajra and Dagger Divisions.
During his visit, General Dwivedi reviewed the current readiness efforts and received a detailed briefing on the important roles of the two army units. The Vajra Division, based in the Northern Command area, plays a crucial role in guarding sensitive border areas, while the Dagger Division supports both defensive and offensive operations in the region. After the briefing, the Army Chief took part in a high-level Security Review Meeting, where they had an in-depth discussion about the current security situation in the state.
"General Upendra Dwivedi, COAS, visited the Headquarters Vajra Division where he received a detailed briefing on the operational preparedness of the Vajra Division and Dagger Division. COAS also attended the Security Review Meeting to discuss the security situation in the state," the Army posted on X. General Dwivedi stressed the importance of staying alert and always being ready to face new threats.
During his meeting with senior commanders and soldiers, he reinforced the Indian Army's strong commitment to protecting the country's security and keeping peace in sensitive border regions. During his visit, the Chinar Corps Commander gave him a detailed update on the latest happenings and military operations in the area.
