Disguised as stand-up comedians, a cabal of hinduphobic liberals who have been spewing venom against Hindus in the name of 'creative freedom' and freedom of expression, have made it to the news yet again for another such maligning activity. This time, these hoodlums chose to jibe at Hindu deities and our Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Stand-up comedian from Gujarat's Junagadh Munawar Faruqui, among four others from Indore, has been arrested on the complaint filed by Eklavya Singh Gaur, 36, son of local Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Malini Laxman Singh Gaur. In his statement, Mr. Gaur said he was accompanied by a few of his companions to this show which was being held at a cafe in Indore. He further added that after he heard the "indecent remarks about Hindu deities and Union Home Minister Amit Shah” the organizers were forced to shut down the show and subsequently a complaint was filed wherein Mr. Gaur also provided video footage as evidence.
Tukoganj police station in-charge Kamlesh Sharma made an official statement in which he said, “A case was filed late on Friday night against Munawar Faruqui, a resident of Junagadh in Gujarat, and four Indore-based persons, based on a written complaint filed by Gaur. ” The other arrested persons have been identified as Edwin Anthony, Prakhar Vyas, Priyam Vyas and Nalin Yadav. Moreover, the police have also invoked Section 269 as they noticed blatant violation of COVID-19 safety protocols at the gathering.
Unfortunately, this is not the first incident where the Hindus have had to pay the price for being tolerant and harmonious. We are to realize that Sanatan Dharma is up against a vicious propaganda machinery that can only be dealt with an iron fist.
Popular names such as AIB, East India Comedy (EIC) have time and again put out Hinduphobic tweets and received severe backlash from netizens. However, they still find a new low to stoop to and one such example is Aditi Mittal who shamelessly mocked the martyrdom of our soldiers are Galwan Valley during the Indo-China conflict.
As citizens and audiences to diversified content, it is about time we show these hate mongers their place. Let it be known that Sanatan Dharma will always stand the test of time and bask in glory. Hindustan is no haven for Hinduphobic slurs.
